So is your avatar, Salem. :p

Do you have much experience with macrophotography, Timber? I'd like to see what kind of pics you can get at the DMNS's Lizards & Snakes exhibit.

I've done a little macro (see what I did there?) photography, but could use a lot of practice. And maybe a lens better suited to macro (I'll work with what I have until then). I just don't feel like paying to see the Lizard & Snake exhibit; I'd rather go to the zoo next door. =^^;=

@BJBear: This one and most of my animal pictures are from the Denver zoo. It's close to me. I've got some shots from San Diego zoo and Out of Africa wildlife park. Hopefully ij the next month I'll have another trip to San Diego zoo.

@Hunter: It's only been a few years! You kinda disappeared there for a while. I'll update my IMs and such in a bit (at work right now), then we can chat. =^^=

This one is from the San Diego zoo. I don't know what I did, but I like it.

I figure I shouldn't do all animal pictures; they aren't my only subject of interest.

A local.. well, used to be a mall.

I can almost hear the creaking of the metal on the left side of the photo, like I'm reading it from right to left, then all of a sudden, it falls apart. Cool photo.

I also love the abandoned building & sunset... I tend to take a lot of pictures of abandoned buildings myself. they're so melancholy.

Think you have Hunter and I mixed up with the Exxon sign.

Thanks! I love abandoned places; I just don't have enough guts to trespass into most of them. I want to visit some ghost towns soon.

Exploring abandoned places is fun. I used to do that all the time, as a kid. Good photo, dude; it resurfaces some memory, too.

I figured you'd be the one person who knew what mall that was. :D

I used to work there, right after I moved to Denver.

I thought it was Buckingham at first, but Westminster did look a lot like it.

Turns out there's an abandoned waterpark in the Mojave desert. Wikipedia has quite a bit of information about the park; It had been open on and off from the 1960s through 2004. The past 8 years haven't been kind to this place, but made for some neat photos. I'll upload them at some point.
