There are many I love, but I'd have to say my favorite is "How Great Thou Art". The first time I heard it was at the end of the second Left Behind movie. It is a true expression of joy and praise from the soul, as the first verse of the chorus demonstrates ("then sings my soul"), and I want to sing along and give glory to God every time I hear it. :D

Ah yes, I think I can remember the former being sung in church.

I can dig anything from John Mark McMillan's Economy album, or off of Hillsong United's Zion album. Heck, sometimes I listen to those two albums just to appreciate the music because they're so much different from mainstream CCM (odd to say that about Hillsong United, but their latest album really is a breath of fresh air in a rather repetitive genre).

AND OH MY GOSH DAVID CROWDER.

Would anybody else like to list their favorite worship songs or hymns?

I can't remember the name and I am to lazy to look it up, but the chorus goes like this:

"Christ alone, cornerstone. Weak made strong in the savior's love. Through the storm, he is Lord, Lord of all."

Many classical/romantic spiritual pieces are amazing listens.

For example, one of my favorite pieces of all time (one I was privileged enough to perform in high school!):

Agnus Dei (Barber): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fr17zNZFg0Y

Set aside nine minutes and give this a listen. It's really amazing piece, and quite moving!

Anybody else? I'm curious about what your tastes in Christian music are like.

I really like any song. I'm worshipping the LORD, and that makes me enjoy it enough.

From church organ to rock guitar, I love it all.

Some that co.e to mind are VOTA (especially "God of the Universe"), Fernando Ortega, Owl City (though the music isn't "Christian", his attitude and faith shine in his music plus he has awesome devotional posts on his blog), some Becca Shae, beautiful choral arrangements, lots of hymns, whatever speaks to me in the moment. I will list more of they pop up on my spotify!

I have a few favourites. Here's a list in no particular order:

I also enjoy some of the more upbeat ones from Hillsong and Planetshakers but those are some of my favourites to really worship and to really get close to God.

Crowder's How He Loves Us is probably the first worship song I got really attached to in college. Otherwise I'm used to Catholic hymns like Gregorian chant played to the beat of nuns smacking people with rulers.

How Deep The Father's Love For Us, I'm not sure who originally composed it, but I tend to listen to the OwlCity cover.

Yea I'm exaggerating the fact that most Catholic hymns aren't listened to at length outside of a service due to a lack of that appeal. I did go to an all-male high school with a choir that sang some really wonderful hymns, but I can't remember their names. I actually want to email the instructor some time and get a list because I could carry that nostalgia playlist for quite a while.
