At the peak of the millitary powers a terrible was broke out, bombs fell like hail as the innocent and guilty alike were slain by the greedy rulers. sadly as years drove on the attacks were bigger and bigger untill all the royalties fell. no kings, no queens and no presidents. a war torn wasteland with scatterd remains of the war machines.
large groups of survivors gatherd and built up cities from the rubble of their civilization.
decades passed as the decending of those people took the cities of their ancestors and ruled them with salvaged weaponry, hiding in their stone and steel walls civilizations grew back to their formet glory.
breaching theese walls were called impossible and foolish to think about as sharpshooters and cannons were in the towers.
the second strongest city Karlstath has repelled two decades of rebellion due to their ruler's cruel and rough rulership over the workers. gaining a reputation of a rising uprising in the Resistance the ruler has taken no care of what is going on outside the city wall and let villages filled with beings that spite the city of Karlstath and wish nothing else but to tear it down brick by brick.

it is here the young Fennec resides, a mere 13 years of age he was born in a rank that many would call an untouchable. As the general's only son he was given the rights to anything and sadly anyone under the general's command. Calling in soldiers for his amusement as they battle for their rank and their life. twisted by the power and lack of dicipline causes the people to fear for when this child is taking to the ranks of a military leader.

(((some rules: dont instantly take someone out of the rp by ''killing'' their character. dont change scenes at random, it might make it confusing. that's all))

*the young fennec say by the balcony rail and looked over the city, the walls two and a half kilometers away as he yawned into his hand, the sunrise gleemed over the horizon as he watched the guards patrolling the courtyard, taking shifts from the night guards. A buzz came from the room phone followed by the message from a servant* ''Master Arrant, your breakfast is being placed in the dining hall, are yo arriving soon?'' *The fenenc pushed the reply button, rubbing his eye tierdly* Thank you servant, i will arrive shortly. *He turned the phone off and reached to his unifrom as he heard a loud creak sound outside his door* who goes there!?

(I'm guessing we have liberty otherwise with how things roll?)

Like shadows, they had moved through the city silently and entirely unnoticed. Months of preparation had went into this strike, and for every person on the ground, a dozen more had meticulously mapped patrol routes, bribed guards, or infiltrated the security's infrastructure. Coming together, everything moved like clockwork, enabling the half a dozen assassins to make their way unnoticed through the city to the residences of its elite.

They were Corrvous, or crow-kind. Their dark feathers serving better than any camouflage to conceal their approach. It was not surprising they were the operatives for such an assignment. Its not uncommon for dictators, upon coming to power, to brutalize one group or another to galvanize the populous. In this case, the feather-folk and lizard-folk had suffered the worst of it. It was natural then, that they would hold a grudge. Their target, in particular, had had a peculiar obsession with hunting their kind and finding newer and more obscene ways to torture or kill them. They intended to repay him in kind.

Much of the time had been spent carefully plotting the guard patrol routes in the General's estate; they had even constructed a makeshift replica some twenty or so kilometers outside the city. Every assassin knew his path by heart, and every possible location of the guards; how could they not, seeing as their lives depended upon perfection in this tasks execution.

Fortunately, the guards had become complacent and lazy. Who would be foolish enough to try and attack the General's own home? No one would blame them, but they would pay with their lives. A lightning fast knife to the throat or heart, and one by one each interceding guard was quietly removed.

Carefully concealing his latest kill behind a large potted plant, one of the assassins, known as Vykan, peeked cautiously around the corner, eyes panning for any sign of movement, ears tuned to the sound of footsteps. The strike had been planned in the morning on the idea that the guards would be tired and not expecting an attack. This had proved true, but Vykan would have preferred to have struck at night; better to hide in the hallways. Either way, he was nearly invisible in the shadows, and had someone been watching, it was doubtful they would have spotted him anyways. Content that the hallway was clear, he silently drifted around the corner. Each assassin was targeted to search a particular section of the house, to ensure their target was located. His next, and likeliest spot, was a large living area, cordoned off by the fancy double doors that enclosed. He approached the door silently, reaching out one hand to crack it open to peer inside. As he did, a load CREEK emanated from the floorboard in front of him.

"Who goes there!?" Came the reply from inside. Cursing his ineptitude, Vykan was also surprised to find the voice of the person inside was young, likely no more than a teenager. Carefully drifting to the side, he concealed himself in the shadows once more and prayed whoever was inside didn't think to call the guards.

I can hear you breathe. If my father sent an escort tell him that none is needed. *He struggled to get his clothings on over than his larger than usuall ears as he banged once on the door to signal to what he though was a servant*

Father!?! This is the General's son!

Vykan's mind raced as he pondered the situation, trying to figure some way to abuse the circumstances. Throwing caution to the wind, he decided to see how far he could take it. Summoning up his most official voice he could, in the best imitation of the guards he could muster, Vykan responded.

"I'm sorry, sir. You're father insisted." With that, he opened the door and stepped into the room. His outfit was a close approximation of the guards outfit; all the better to sneak through the palace with. Vykan hoped the farce would hold; if it didn't, he would have to get a bit more violent.

*Tay let out a slight sigh as his hope to sneak out to town was foiled by the intruder*

that stubborn old fool. i swear if it werent for his paranoi- ... hey your outfit seems a bit out of date, any other guard would shoot you on the spot if you were spotted.

*he pointed over to Vykan's general direction while he reached over to his cap*

Did you miss that information? it was informed to everyone last week.

*he let out a light shrug while going for the door*

say wich division are you in? A? B? G?

Vykan sighed heavily, enjoying the role he was playing. He'd always wanted to be an actor; unfortunately the times demanded his skills be used elsewhere.

"I joined the guard three days ago sir. They gave me this uniform in what I can only conclude as some sort of hazing. As to what division I am attached, at the moment I am in an interim period. What this means, of course, is that everyone is allowed to tell me what to do, not just my division captain. Once again, I assume this to be some sort of hazing."

Vykan followed politely behind Tay as he exited the room, his arms crossed behind his back, one hand unconsciously fingering the concealed knife he had used to kill several guards already.

"If you will excuse me sir, my instructions, delivered over radio, were to escort you to the General himself. Unfortunately, I was not informed about the General's location, and my superiors have been....less than helpful. I was hoping you were aware of his whereabouts."

ah i see, well i find it rather odd. reqruitment are tomorrow.

*he watched him in the edge of his eye as they both passed an open elevator, letting out a loud shout as he pushed with all his might into the elevator and pressed hard over the floor buttons, causing the doors to slam shut and leaving the assasin locked inside as the doors clipped my ear, making a deep cut along the tip, the doors stuck with a 1 ½ inch opening* gah.. guards! intruder! intruder! sound the alarm! cut the power!

"Oh, you Sonuva..."

Vykan dived back at the door, slamming hard as it closed in front of him. His hands flew to the controls, mashing the emergency stop button, keeping the elevator from moving. He succeeded in leaving a small gap, but he was still in the end, trapped.

"Guards! Intruder! Intruder!"

The general's son cried out for help, and Vykan took some solace in knowing help wouldn't be coming immediately. He had been thorough in clearing out the floor. However, if he got to a window and called to guards in the courtyard, or found a radio, it could mean trouble, and not just for him. Vykan had to remember there were other operatives in the building just as he was.

It took him a few minutes, but eventually he managed to pry the doors open. Figuring his disguise was now defunct, he abandoned the guards uniform, relying instead on the black undershirt to keep him hidden. Drawing his knife and his guards pistol, he stalked through the hallways, trying to track down the young fox before he could cause any more trouble.

*a trail of blood drop trail along the floor from his cut, but mere seconds as the doors are opend a larm is fired off, each door and gate is locked with steel bars slamming shut, speakers calling out the location where the intruder is trapped but sadly along with the fennec. the young Tay looked around in a panic as he needed to find a place to hide in.*

*the sound of guards rushing up the emergency staircase comes closer and closer as the alarm keeps howling out*

Vykan swore as he saw and heard the windows, doors, and other possible exits were sealed off by strong steel bars. He tried to imagine more elaborate ways of escape that would not be blocked off, such as the air ducts, but he knew none of those were truly practical. The sound of footsteps and shouting signified there were soldiers headed this way.

Okay, things are bad. Real bad, but there may be a way out. The soldiers have to come in somehow...no, that's pointless. They'll be watching that exit...The kid! The general obviously protects his son - otherwise why would the kid think I was an escort. He won't risk him. He may be my only ticket out. But how do I....Oh what do we have here...

Vykan spotted a small trail of blood leading from the elevator.

Did I nick him? Either way, that's not mine, and that's not a guards. I might just survive this after all.

Following the trail of blood, Vykan took off after Tay.

A trail of blood was all he needed to know something was amiss. Several of his guards were reported missing or dead, so he knew that they'd been infiltrated. A fennec fox of unusually tall proportions had been charged unknowingly by his father to become the lifetime protectorate of his son, and only to reveal himself under the direst of circumstances. This was that time. The cruelty of the boy's father knew no bounds, but the boy still yet had time to grow into something a little more respectable. The guards were in a frenzy as they began to find their companions dead and locate the assassins who dared. His objective was simple. Find the boy and flee with him from the city until such a time that a ruler would be accepted over anarchy. Hopefully between now and then he could open the boy's eyes to his father's cruelty and help him become something far better. It was an impossible dream, but then, in times like these, better to chase the impossible than live with the present. His pace quickened as he found the boy. He quickly put a hand over his mouth and whispered, "Don't make a sound, I'm here to help you." He quickly placed an old cloak over the boy to disguise him. "Can you move?" He at least saw the boy was armed, if injured, so he at least had his survival instinct intact.

Big takes a moment to look back and notice the trail of blood they're leaving behind. He notices that it's coming from the kit's ear and rips a strip a cloth from his sleeve for the kit. As they continue moving further down unfamiliar passages in the back of the large dwelling, he makes the kit hold the cloth against his ear to staunch the bleeding. As they round a corner behind a large statue, the passages become immediately dank and two backpacks filled with fresh supplies are waiting. He gives the smaller backpack (which was still rather large) to the fox and said, "Hide that under your cloak, it'll give more of an illusion of you being an innocent old lady." He turns on a pair of nightvision goggles so as to pass unnoticed by any lookers on. He grabs the fox's hand and leads him down into the dank passages, going slowly so he won't trip.

Vykan had been trailing the pair for a good three minutes now. He had originally intended to capture the child and use him as a hostage, but this plan was working even better; whoever this newcomer was, he knew a secret way out of here, which meant the guards couldn't follow him. For a moment, he'd lost them when they'd slipped behind a statue, since whomever the older fox was had staunched the child's bleeding. But he'd picked up on it in the end, being careful to conceal the passage way behind him as he went. It was completely dark in the hallway, which comforted him greatly; if someone came in from behind, he would immediately know it, and they would be blind to where he was. replacing his weapons back in their holsters, Vykan found a wall and followed it with his hand, too keep moving in the right direction. Where the people he was trailing were he didn't really care; they'd shown him how to escape now, and that's all that mattered to him.

*as they went through the darkness the pattering feet against the stone floor echoed along the long dark hallway but something was wrong, a distant and faint stepping sound was behind them, far behind them. he dropped the cloth as he had stopped bleeding and whisperd to his saviour* ''someone is after us.''

He was hoping that wasn't the case, but if the kid was hearing it too, then they had problems. He figured they were far enough away that they might be able to escape his presence since the end of the tunnels wasn't too much farther ahead. The sound of running water greeted them as they were welcomed by the sight of a solitary boat in a cave lit by a few lanterns. He put his bag into the boat and had the kid get in, shoving off the pier before hopping in himself and taking the oars. "My first priority is to escape with you alive, and then to keep you alive. I've got a feeling the darkness suits our little pursuer, and if he intends to harm you, I'd feel better fighting him on MY terms." A sword and a high-caliber gun hung from his right hip, and his armored protection kinda contrasted with his unusually bright yellow fur, but the fox paid this particular detail no mind. "My name is Big, Prince Arrant," using the title on the fox to see how he'd react.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you."

Vykan emerged from the shadows, revealing himself to the pair.In one outstretched arm he held his pistol, dangling from his finger to signify his lack of violent intent. It was a gamble, really; he had noticed the powerful rifle the older fox carried in the boat, and knew if he had wanted, the fox could kill him easily. But he doubted he could swim the distance to safety, and was willing to take the risk.

"The walls don't enclose the lake, and so they have who knows how many automated turrets ready to blow anything slightly larger than a small child and not authorized out of the water. You'd have to have a detailed knowledge of their search patterns to get through there, which means you would have to be, I don't know, some kind of infiltrator."

Tom smiled, hoping it would disarm the pair, literally and figuratively.

"And if you're concerned about your safety, I should point out the only person I had any intent to kill was the General. I don't care about you, and I certainly have no interest in harming a child. At this point, I just want to get out of here alive. As do you it seems, and I can help you do that."

Vykan was talking faster now, as he heard the sound of footsteps in the distance; it seems the guards had found the secret entrance.

*the young fennec aimed down the sight of his own pistol from the boat, aiming at the general direction of the apparently harmless infiltrator, shooting three shots witht he intent to scare him off, two wizzed by due to the gun's long range imperfection but the third had a direct hit, the gun shattering from his hand and laying useless on the ground, ignoring every word of what he had spoken* y-you stay away from my family you vile scum!
