Hey everyone,

After some thought and prayer I have decided to take a 3-day Internet fast beginning tomorrow. Got some issues in my life that might benefit from it. If you need to reach me, talk to Hunter or Sleet and they'll text me.

Thanks, seeya!

later Ian!
I remember the times I tried to leave the internet, I could never go as long as a day without logging on at some point or another.
Anyways, I hope everyone else has better luck than I do!

See you around, Ian!

Conveniently timed thread creation too. Tomorrow I'm leaving for my trip to Europe, so I'll be gone for two weeks. I'll see you guys later!

I'll just have to try and be more active, make up for the lack of feathers around here.

Have fun Tom, and good luck Ian! Hope you get whatever it is sorted.

I'm back! Well, I broke the 3 calendar days of my fast by going to check FFC and YouTube last night, but it had been a little over 72 hours since the last time I was online.

I didn't pray as much as I should have, but after talking with a couple friends it seems like I need to uninstall 2 of my browsers since they don't have as much protection from stuff I shouldn't be looking at as the other one. My inferiority complex did kick in at work, definitely exacerbating things, but I kept myself from...going too far, shall we say.

I'm not trying to beat myself up here, but I really do need to be better as these fasts and breaks that I impose on myself. No matter how much I choose to avoid sources of possible temptation, it's pretty much useless without filling that empty time and energy with prayer and quiet time. To borrow from an old story, starving the bad dog isn't enough for the good dog to win; you have to feed the good dog until it's strong.

Here's hoping I can be strong again and get stronger day by day.

...I might stay off Twitter and FA just for the sheer amount of AC stuff. I'm so jealous of everyone there, AND I'm missing RMFC in order to take this job out here. *sigh*

I'm going to be going on a long cycling trip starting (hopefully) on Monday, July 2nd 2012.

I WANT to be on the road for 30-35 days, but my knees aren't the best, so it could be cut short. We'll see.

Internet access will be limited to what email gets thru to my phone, a facebook app on said phone, and blogging via phone as well.

I've hardly used my mod powers at all here since Sleet and Ian catch things before I do, but just fyi, I won't be able to moderate *anything* while I'm gone. That being said, it's 5 days from now.

pax.

date fix'd, Ian.

and I'm working out the route and my safety over the next three days. The plan is to be in text contact once every two days with my emergency contact, who can then contact police if she doesn't hear from me even after attempting to locate me after 48 hours.

Yay! I came back! Had an awesome time in Europe. Made a list of stuff I did, too.

* Jet Lag is for wimps.
* German beds are weird.
* On the other hand, German breakfasts are amazing. As is their wine.
* Got in a two hour discussion with a Professor of Civil Engineering why wind power is environmentally unfriendly.
* Germany is immaculately clean, the people are hard working, kind, and live well, and the place is so modern its embarrassing. If only the language wasn't so angry...
* Seaweed is disgusting. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
* I learned to take tequila shots from a guy named Jose, whom I had never met before, in a German Discotek. I didn't pay for the drinks. Coincidentally, I am an AWESOME drunk, and I now have a tequila story.
* Everyone freaking plays League of Legends!
* I live in a family of scrabble masters. Which makes it all the more satisfying to play a 167 pt word, and watch your mom decide "she doesn't want to play anymore right now."
* I"m sorry, France. French just doesn't sound manly.
* Had a six course meal in a nice French Restaurant, which included Foie Gras (tastes like...Not really sure actually) and Souffle (tastes like lemon bubbles)
* France is REALLY into furries.
* Sparkling Water is disgusting.
* The French are clearly compensating for something with their buildings.
* I got bit by a raven.
* The British are HILARIOUS! Also, there is something truly amazing about the King's English.
* The Italian language is just funny. Its also the only language with a build in sign language.
* Was informed by the same Civil Engineer above that "Italy would be a wonderful place, if it weren't for the Italians."
* Vino! Vino!
* I've eaten more ice cream in more places than I ever had in my life. And I'm better off for it.
* Italian Lasagna has no equal. Their pizza leaves something to be desired...
* I snuck into the Hall of Ancient Roman Pornography. Life Changing.
* My mother is very, very American.
* Spent my twenty-second birthday alone with a 16 year old Lebanese girl. Shut up all of you.
* All in all, I visited: Some German castles, The Rhine, the Louvre, the Concierge, Versailles, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triumph, Notre Dame, The London Tower, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Pompeii, some italian places, the Pergamum, Checkpoint charlie and the Berlin Wall. Probably missed some stuff, but it all kind of blurs together now.

Is tequila any less gross in Germany? :P

You have to tell us about this. o.o Also, didn't they have those Orangina ads?

Yes it is.

The wereracen infection will start taking effect soon.

Please tell me you had gelato in Italy.

Sounds like a really awesome trip there, Tom!

I am sort of back from my unannounced hiatus. I'm still behind on emails and so forth after my week and a half of furry (you can read about it on my FA page) earlier this month.

*hugs Sleet right back* Yeah, I didn't realize I was going to get so busy in the run-up to my week and a half of furry that I'd forget to mention what was going on here!
