Hello, Furs for Christ Members

This is the Joys and Sorrows topic (a topic I came up with in another forum which became very popular, and I am hoping for the same success here) is the place were our members can post about all the personal developments which we experience in our day-to-day lives. All statements should be accompanied with a "Joy" or "Sorrow" label to tell everyone whether it is a good or bad development. Here is a short list of things which could be included:

Romance
- People you fancy
- People you've gone off
- And any past, present, or future relationships
Friends and Foes
- New friends you've made
- Old friends you've lost
- Any particular rivals or foes
- And anything about the development of your relationship
Family
- Good family relations
- Bad family relations
- Or your own family (as in you, your partner, and children if any)
- And general family situations and events
Career
- Your current job
- Your next promotion or goal
- And any good or bad occurrences at work
Others
- Social gatherings
- Charity work or hobbies
- And anything else which is part of your development in life.

Example:

Joy - I recently got some good news, I have been accepted into Oxford University!
Joy - And I can move out of my family home (at last!)
Sorrow - I think I will miss my family, though.

Should our members wish to comment on any posts, please keep it positive. Feel free to advise, praise, and console as you so wish. (This topic is something of a more casual alternative to the Overcoming section and its topics, and anything which is personal but is not private can go in here, such as the examples given above. Plus, people who wish to talk about non-private aspects of the human experience do not have to create individual topics which will inevitably die and clutter the forum, everything can be compiled in here).

Sorrow: After having to call back near-daily for an entire week since they kept saying they'd call me but didn't, I finally found out the job I applied for didn't want me. I hate getting rejected by incompetent managers. It's worse than being rejected by good ones.

*hugs a fox* :(

Joy: Made $67 in tips today at work and made no screw-ups! Except maybe for not handing in my resignation letter typed. meh.

Joy: Sometimes trials are blessings in disguise. :3 I might have a job availability at that drug research company, which means I'll be able to work somewhere much more interesting and useful for medical school. Not only that, it doesn't seem to be a "student position" so I very easily might make a "grown up" salary doing it. So if I'm that lucky, I'll be able to either live at home and make lots of emergency money, or I could afford to move out (and save gas/transit time). ^^

Sorrow: Easter put me a little behind on my diet.

Don't you just hate it when you first find out that your deceased grandmother used to collect something you collect by learning that your dad sold her collection to help fund his one-sided divorce?

Joy: I finally got the farming simulator working under Linux. (Qucik background: I've been having odd crashes in Windows since January, and I'm guessing that either the install is corrupt in some way or that the hardware is dying. To test the theory that it's just corrupt software, I've switched to Linux. Note that I prefer Linux to Windows anyway, so that wasn't much of a biggie).

Sorrow: Screenshots don't work, as they were provided by the Steam overlay, which also doesn't seem to work.

Sorrow: I overslept and missed a class this morning, and then almost got my car towed and missed another class, and managed to break a whole box of light bulbs at the store.

Joy: Jesus still loves me anyway. :3
