I started off this year with passing by Meow Wolf at the stroke of midnight on my way home from work to set the tone for 2025.
Things were bleak with Trump getting re-elected, some legal worries about my debts and my previous living space/roommate, and some surprise news at work.
But an even bigger surprise came in June when I got The Call to be on Jeopardy! Finally, my lifelong dream was coming true! I won one game to make it even sweeter, then lost to a very deserving player. Later I went back for the Champions Wildcard tournament (which will air in January!)
Some of my winnings went toward paying off my debt, through a program I signed up for on my birthday last year. As of yesterday it’s all finished! I also got to make another edition of my Taskmaster fan production with more equipment and a single filming location.
So this year I’m thankful for friends, family, still having a job, and Jeopardy!

Last night, I got a really good opportunity to hang out with my entire family (30+ members). This is especially nice because it looks like my grandma won’t have another year with us. I’m very thankful for her as she has taught me how to write while my mom and dad were at work when I was 2. it’s very cool to see how my grandpa takes. These things. He is a key mentor to me and my best friend.
